Review of The Healers Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson

Image
Two Hearts. One Hope. Rose has been appointed as a healer’s apprentice at Hagenheim Castle, a rare opportunity for a woodcutter’s daughter like her. While she often feels uneasy at the sight of blood, Rose is determined to prove herself capable. Failure will mean returning home to marry the aging bachelor her mother has chosen for her—a bloated, disgusting merchant who makes Rose feel ill. When Lord Hamlin, the future duke, is injured, it is Rose who must tend to him. As she works to heal his wound, she begins to understand emotions she’s never felt before and wonders if he feels the same. But falling in love is forbidden, as Lord Hamlin is betrothed to a mysterious young woman in hiding. As Rose’s life spins toward confusion, she must take the first steps on a journey to discover her own destiny.   Available   here Age group: 14 and up  What reason?: Magic, Romance. Youtube video review!!

Image
To start off our Princess week I thought I'd start with this fun Disney princess medley! The video is fun and these guys are pretty decent singers too! They do dress up like Disney princesses... There is a guy in a open  vest top without a shirt under it through the whole video ... so if that makes you uncomfortable don't watch it!! Other then that it is clean, it doesn't have any language. Its a super fun video for those of us who grew up watching Disney movies!                                                       I give it a 8 of 10 stars!!     Surprise there are three of them!!!! The second is my favorite which is yours? Are you excited for Princess/fairy tale week? Any pr...

Robin Hood bbc Terra Nova - tv show Cloud 9 - Disney Channel movie Leverage - Tv show Earth to Echo - Movie Robin Hood bbc: For teens and up. It can be a little brutal. The girls wear low cut dresses but then again that was the style. Men take bathes nothing is seen but it shows them talking while they're in said bathes. Terra Nova:  For ages 16 and up. This one can be brutal as well. A few curse words. Drinking (no one gets drunk though..) Romance, kissing, Girl in bikini, and other low cut shirts. Violence with guns. And there are...

Christian Mingle -Movie review

Image
~Christian Mingle~ -a movie review- I'm not going to lie I was really disappointed with this movie! I borrowed it from a friend for Valentines day and only got to watch it this last weekend. Here is the trailer in case you've never heard of it. Age Group?: 12 and up. Depending on your preference Why?: There was kissing and lying. I was really excited to watch this movie, because I had seen both the guy and girl in other movies and really liked them. So I asked my friend if we could borrow it and she let us. (she hadn't even seen it herself. Which I didn't know! But she let us borrow it anyway!) So we had a sleepover with some friends and wanting to watch a sappy romance movie we thought this would be just the ticket! And so we popped it in! A hour and fifteen minutes later....We were all very disappointed and discussed what we thought about it... Here were some of the problems. The humor was cheesy. I'm talking those moments when someone make...

Review of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Image
The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins   In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed.  Age group: 14 and up What reason?: Violence and Romance So between the movies and the books I'm going to smother you with reviews!  So, I saw the movie first because it was on Netflix and a friend asked me if I had seen it, after sayi...
